Eligibility requirements are: Eligible to vote in Minnesota Must be 21 years of age or more Wahkon resident for at least 30 days Council will likely appoint a new member at their 7/10 meeting after formally accepting the resignation of Brenda Buck effective 6/13. The appointed person would immediately be sworn into office and participate fully at the 7/10 meeting. Term would expire 12/31/2024. July 4th fireworks will be on Tues. 7/4 and can be viewed best from Wahkon City & Veterans Parks. Boaters have a great view from beautiful Wahkon Bay. PLEASE keep boats at a safe distance from the display for everyone’s safety! We wholeheartedly accept donations for this patriotic event, which can be made to City of Wahkon PO Box 8, Wahkon, MN 56386-0008. The City of Wahkon would like to graciously thank the following for their donations toward the 2023 Fourth of July fireworks scheduled for Tues. July 4th. Their generosity is very much appreciated as we couldn’t hold this event without their financial support!
