Lucky Lure Treasure Hunt – August 14th-18th
Clues Posted at the Ellen Ruth starting at 5:00pm on Wedneaday. Additional clues added at 10:00am and 5:00pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Final Clue at 10:00am Sunday. Hunt ends when the Lucky Lure is found or 2:00pm on Sunday if unfound. Prize for finding Lure $250.00 without a button or $500.00 with a Wahkon Days Button. Prize will be awarded at the W.A.V.E. Picnic at Sunset Pier at the City Park.
Friday – August 16th
• 6:00pm – 9:00pm – Vendors and Food Trucks
• 7:00pm (line up at 6:00pm, 1st St. W) – one to four wheel non street legal parade. Decorate your Golf cart, Side by Side, 4 Wheeler, 3 Wheeler, Lawn Mower, Bar Stool, Bike or Unicycle.
• 7:30pm – Tim Sigler Band – Ain't Going Down sponsored by and performing at the Tulibee Tavern for Wahkon Days Street Dance.
Saturday – August 17th
• 10:00am – 4:00pm – Arts, Craft & Vendor Fair
• 10:00am – 9:00pm – Food Trucks
• 10:00am – 8:00pm – Kids Bounce Houses and Trolley.
• 10:00am – WAVE Cribbage Tournament. Registration at 9:30am in banquet room of the Tulibee Tavern – $10 per team. Can come as single but will need a partner to play.
• 10:00am – 2:00pm – DNR Wall of Shame – Turn In Poachers (TIP-MN), Inc.
• 10:00am – 3:00pm – Kids' Games, Bottle Booth, Treat Trot, Country Store – Sacred Heart Church Parking Lot
• 11:00am – 3:00pm – BINGO, Brats and Beer – Sacred Heart Church
• 12:00pm – MLHS Hospice Spirit of the Wings at the Ellen Ruth is a significant annual fundraiser event hosted by Mille Lacs Health System. This event not only supports the hospice program but also provides a heartfelt way for local families to honor their loved ones who have passed away.
• 12:00pm – 8:00pm – Pie Social at Wahkon Presbyterian Church (closed at 4pm: Reopens after parade)
• 1:30pm – 3:30pm – Live Music by Bill Campbell
• 2:00pm – Kids Coin Hunt
• 6:00pm – Grand Parade (line up at 5 pm, 1st St. W) – Main Street
• 7:00pm – Button Drawings by City Hall
• 8:00pm – Jonah and the Whales – sponsored by and performing outside of Mugg’s. Bring your lawn chair.
Sunday – August 18th
• 11:00am – 12:00pm – Kids Fishing Contest (ages 5-12 years) – fishing poles and bait provided - Sunset Pier at the City Park.
• 11:00am – 12:00pm – Games for kids 4 and under
• 11:30am – 12:30pm W.A.V.E FREE Picnic at City Park
• 12:00pm – Fishing Contest Winners Awarded and Kids Raffles.
• 12:00pm – Lucky Lure Treasure Hunt Prize Awarded to the Winner
