Clean Up Day 2017:

Saturday, May 6th 8-11am at City Hall Parking “Wahkon Property Owners Only”

Independence Day 2017:

Monday, July 3rd @ Dusk  Wahkon hosts a spectacular fireworks display every year on the fourth with the help of donations from local businesses, citizens and organizations.  Best view of this wonderful fireworks display is from the Veterans Park overlooking beautiful Wahkon Bay!

Treasure Hunt 2017:

August 16th – 20th.

First Clue will be posted at 5pm Wednesday, additional clues will be posted at 10am & 5pm Thursday, Friday & Saturday with the final clue at 10am Sunday. Clues will be posted at the Ellen Ruth, www.cityofwahkon.com &  Mille Lacs Realty’s Facebook page. The hunt will end when the treasure is found or at 2pm Sunday if not found. Prize will be awarded at the WAVE picnic at 2pm.

Recycling:

The 2nd and 4th Saturdays in Isle from 9am to 1pm at Mille Lacs County Maintenance Shop, 460 Isle Street W.  Mondays in Onamia from 9am to 1pm at Mille Lacs County Public Works, 35617 125th Avenue.

Acceptable items:  newspapers, office paper, shredded paper, staples magazines and catalogs, corrugated cardboard, pop & cereal boxes, tissue boxes, tin & aluminum can, clear & brown glass bottles and plastic recycle number #1 – #7.
